Cost savings glass doors for multidecks
The savings table is based on the reduction of kWh consumption of the connected refrigeration system. Assuming a standard energy-efficient refrigeration system that is often used in the supermarket. Assuming an average opening frequency, 20% of additional cleaning and restocking costs and an average store temperature of < 20°C. The height of the glass or the display affects the savings on cold generation.

Return period = total investment / (number of metres x savings per metre). Suppose: total investment for 30 metres of ESTEM 1800 mm-high glass covers = €12,500 at an energy price of € 0.13/kWh. Return period will be €12,500 / (30x€144) = 2.8 years without EIA advantage. With EIA advantage, the return period (€12,500 - €1,200) / (30 x €144) = 2.6 years. EIA advantage net is approximately 10% of the investment. Taking the savings on heating costs into account, the return period will be even shorter.
